Kiran Gurung running to honour his grandfather

Thu, 25 Aug 2011

GSG Security Officer Kiran Gurung has demonstrated the close knit bond between a grandson and his grandfather in the Chevron City to Surf for Activ Marathon.

Kiran lost his grandfather to diabetes complications 11 years ago and gaining inspiration from his close ties with his grandfather will complete the marathon in full battle dress to raise money and importantly community awareness for Diabetes WA.

Kiran is a former Gurkha soldier, previously stationed in Singapore before moving to Western Australia three years ago.

Kiran is a dedicated marathon runner with six marathons under his belt already.

We at GSG wish Kiran well as we proudly watch him run in honour of his grandfather.
