Investigation Services
The GSG team of investigators has in excess of 200 years combined experience in conducting complex and minor investigations. Inquiries undertaken by GSG are considered at the upper end of the scale of seriousness with operations extending into national and international jurisdictions.
Investigations conducted include, but are not limited to:
- Theft
- Fraud
- Conspiracy
- Stealing as a servant
- Drugs
- Public Sector Management breaches
- Disciplinary breaches
- Criminal damage
- Electoral malpractice
Investigations are requested into allegedly serious breaches of discipline, including code of ethics and code of conduct matters, predominantly for government agencies. These are conducted under public sector legislation and procedures and are generally viewed as borderline corruption matters. Some matters result in negotiated outcomes.
Alleged breaches of the provisions for local government elections are also investigated for and on behalf of the WA Electoral Commission. Some of these have resulted in criminal prosecutions.
Investigations into matters of a criminal nature are conducted for clients in the corporate sector. Prominent firms of solicitors commonly refer these inquiries to GSG. Investigations range from large-scale theft and fraud, through to sexual abuse and criminal damage as well as conspiracy and defamation.
Surveillance and counter surveillance operations are also conducted.
Given the number of investigators available, it is assured that services can be provided for single or multiple assignments as well as assignments requiring an individual or a team of investigators.
Response at short notice is common for GSG personnel.
A considerable cumulative impact has been achieved from the outcomes of the investigations performed. The depth and breadth of expertise produced from the diversity of inquiries has been beneficial for the operational aspect as well as endowing currency and credibility on the investigation training offered by GSG.
